In this nighttime art component proposed for the Newport Beach Civic Center, undulating waves of self-sustaining animated LED lighting bring the language of the ocean into the canyons and slopes of the project.

Photovoltaics embedded throughout the infraestructure of the site capture energy from the sun.As the sun sets, this energy fuels the artwork, creating a self-sustaining system that winds its way through the project.  

Green roofs and primary slopes become the sites of dramatic fields of light. As one approaches the southern edge of the site the light intensifies, referencing the proximity to the ocean.
