PORTAL is a window into an alternative reality located along the main route of the 2018 Night on Broadway festival.  It is a stand-alone artwork when in the passive mode, but as soon as one approaches, it becomes a fusion of real and imaginary, activated by and viewed through the lens of the passersby.

The large projection surface creates a welcoming invitation to explore the artwork. Once there, glimpses of the viewer’s activity are captured within a time delay sequence, creating a PORTAL into an alternative reality – a fracturing of time and space that momentarily displaces the streetscape reality.
